Hymn text
Hail Ganesha, hail Ganesha, hail Lord Ganesha — whose mother is Parvati and father the great Shiva.
One-tusked, compassionate, four-armed, with vermilion on his brow, riding the mouse.
Betel leaves, flowers and sweets are offered; laddus are set before him as devotees serve.
He gives sight to the blind and health to the afflicted, children to the childless and sustenance to the poor.
Sur-Shyam comes to your refuge; make his service fruitful — O son of Parvati and the great Shiva.
Uphold the honour of the humble, O son of Shambhu; fulfil our wishes — I offer myself to you.
