Hail Ganesh, Girija’s son, root of blessing, ocean of wisdom.

Says Ayodhya’s servant: grant the boon of fearlessness.

Hymn text

O Raguveera, benefactor of devotees, hear my plea, Lord.

None equals the devotee who meditates day and night.

Shivji meditates on you in his heart; Brahma and Indra cannot fathom you.

Your messenger, brave Hanuman, whose glory fills the three worlds.

O mighty-armed merciful one, slaying Ravan you protected the gods.

You are lord of the orphaned, ever helpful to the lowly.

Brahma and the rest cannot fathom you; the Lord ever sings your fame.

The four Vedas bear witness that you guard your devotees’ honour.

Sharada sings your virtues in her heart; even Indra cannot fathom them.

None is as blessed as whoever takes your name.

Ram’s name is boundless; all four Vedas proclaim it.

Ganapati took your name, and you made him first-worshipped.

Shesha ever repeats your name, bearing earth’s burden on his head.

That burden rests light as a flower; none finds your limit.

Bharat held your name in his heart and never lost a battle.

Shatrughna’s heart shone with your name; remembering it destroys foes.

Lakshman, ever obedient to you, always guards the saints.

Hence none conquers them in battle, though Yama himself should fight.

Taking Mahalakshmi’s form, you reduce sins to ash in every way.

Singing pure Sita-Ram, you displayed Bhuvaneshwari’s power.

She who emerged from the pitcher, seeing whom the moon is shamed.

She ever presses your feet; the nine nidhis roll at your feet.

The eighteen auspicious siddhis sacrifice themselves upon you.

And whatever other glories exist, Sita’s Lord, you created them.

By mere will you create millions of worlds in less than a moment.

Whoever fixes their mind on your feet assuredly gains liberation.

Hail, hail, hail, Lord of radiant form, attributeless, whole, peerless Brahman.

Hail truth, hail, O vow-of-truth Lord, eternal truth, inner-dweller.

Whoever sings your true hymn surely gains the four fruits.

Gauripati swore a true oath: you grant devotion in every way.

Hear, Ram, you are our father; famed as Bharat clan’s worshipped one.

You are our clan’s god, our family’s deity, our guru, dear as life.

Whatever exists, you alone are king; hail, hail, hail, Lord, guard my honour.

O nourisher of the soul, Ram; hail, hail, beloved prince of Dasharatha.

Grant wisdom to my heart, O embodiment of wisdom; salutations, hail, king of the world.

Blessed, blessed are you, blessed your glory; your name ends affliction.

Gods sang pure truth from their mouths; drums and conches sounded.

Truth, truth, you are eternal truth; you alone are my body, mind and wealth.

Whoever recites this, wisdom dawns in their heart.

Their coming-and-going ends; take this true word as Shiva’s own.

Whatever other hope fills the heart, the wished fruit is gained.

Whoever meditates in all three times, offering tulsi leaves and flowers...

And offers food with greens attains all accomplishments.

At life’s end they reach Raghuvar’s abode, born thereafter as Hari’s devotee.

Says and sings Shri Haridas — they attain Vaikuntha’s abode.

Closing couplet

Whoever keeps a seven-day discipline and recites with focused mind surely gains devotion by Hari’s grace, says Haridas.
